Through a grant from the Catholic Schools Foundation, seventh- and eighth-graders from Catholic schools across Greater Lowell have been active participants in a series of leadership retreats held at Lowell Catholic.
Students from the junior and senior classes at LC, in conjunction with the department of Campus Ministry, facilitate the events for the younger students.
The grant has aided in the implementation of several pilot initiatives designed to positively transform the system as a whole while strengthening each individual school based upon their specific needs.
LOWELL -- After a comprehensive search to fill the leadership role at Lowell Catholic Elementary Division, the committee has chosen Dan Price as associate principal.
Price is an administrator at Malden Catholic, where he is also part of the Principal Fellow program in the Lynch Leadership Academy through Boston College. At Malden Catholic, he is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of teachers, curriculum development and data assessment.
Price, a native of Pennsylvania, has extensive experience in elementary education. Attending Catholic Jesuit schools throughout his life and having spent close to a decade teaching Math, Science and Religion, followed by six years serving as a guidance counselor and athletic coach, has prepared him to implement an exceptional academic program for Lowell Catholic Elementary Division.
